Assessment of institutional effectiveness at Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Recinto de Gurabo (UAGM-Gurabo) is conducted in collaboration with the Office of the Vice Chancellor (OVC), the Office of the Vice President of Planning and Academic Affairs (OVPPAA), and the Office of the Vice President of Finance. The collaboration between these offices is an asset for the assessment process because each office brings different perspectives, resources, and data. The Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Assessment (OAVCA), which is a part of the OVC, serves to develop and monitor the efforts of all of UAGM-Gurabo units. Additionally, under the leadership of the OAVCA, campus and off-campus units collect data on key institutional indicators of effectiveness.
ASSESSMENT, PLANNING AND BUDGET
The Organization Assessment Chart illustrates how assessment is structured in UAGM-Gurabo. The Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Assessment is an active member of the Council of Deans, Additional Location Director’s Committee, and Assessment Committee of the Academic Board. This Office also works in close collaboration with members of the Assessment Committee of Programs, Assessment Committee of Student Services, and Assessment Committee of the US Branches.
