This degree will prepare you to work in a variety of settings including schools, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and private practice.

Students in our program come from a variety of backgrounds including communication sciences and disorders, sciences, psychology, and education to mention a few.

All of our students share a common goal: to prepare for a career in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. For that purpose you have chosen Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Recinto de Gurabo.

Our program will not only prepare you for the provision of clinical services but also the strong research component of the program will help you develop your skills as a researcher and a knowledgeable consumer of research in the field.The Speech-Language Pathology program is a rigorous, full-time program of study. Students who chose the day program option can expect to complete the requirements in two years and one summer session. Students who chose the evening program option can expect to complete the requirements in three years, including two summer sessions. Students without an undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders may be required to complete additional coursework.
 

Requirements for Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Recinto de Gurabo incorporate academic and practicum requirements for the ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC), as well as departmental and college requirements. Students who complete the degree program are also eligible for the Puerto Rico licensing in speech and language pathology.
